Forms of payment
The Steiff Online Shop currently accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express through our safe and secure payment processor Braintree.

We also accept PayPal, Google Pay, and gift card payments.

Credits and Balances Due
Any credits on your account with us will be refunded promptly. We will use the same method to refund the amount as you used when you placed the order. For example, if the order was paid by credit card, we will credit your credit card account.

Purchase Orders
Institutional purchase orders (military, government, schools and universities) are not accepted at this time.

Backorders
You will be notified by email if your order cannot be shipped within a week of the time you place it. This is not applicable for items marked as pre-orders.

Canadian and International Orders
We will not falsify invoices or shipping labels under any circumstances. Check a product's shipping notes while you shop to learn of any possible shipping restrictions for particular products.

Steiff North America does not ship internationally outside of Canada and Mexico. 

Tax and Duty Fees: Your country may charge additional taxes or duties on your order when it enters your country. You are responsible for paying any additional charges.

Returning Merchandise
When you receive your order, always keep the paperwork that is included with it in case you wish to return or exchange an item. Also, save any emails you receive about your order, as they may provide important information.

A return merchandise authorization (RMA) is required for all returns. You can request an RMA through your online account or by calling us at 888-W-STEIFF (888-978-3433) and we will issue one for you. Returns can only be requested within 30 days of the product shipment date. Shipping costs will not be refunded unless the item arrives damaged or an error was made. Your order must be returned to Steiff North America, Inc. in order to receive full product credit. Returned items must be in their original packaging and in new condition, or they will be rejected and sent back to you. Merchandise will be accepted for return within 30 days of receipt. Some items may not be eligible for return. Customers are responsible to learn about specific return restrictions associated with specific products or promotions.

Limited Edition returns are not eligible for a full refund unless the outer cardboard box is unopened and the brown tape is sealed. If a Limited Edition is returned in an opened outer box, a refund of 50% of the item's total retail value will be issued.

In rare instances, a restocking fee may apply to returned items or items that have been cancelled from an order. If a restocking fee will apply to an order, it will be noted on the final screen of checkout before you complete your order.

Defective Returns
If the item you wish to return is inoperable but has no apparent damage, it is considered defective. If you receive defective merchandise, please contact Steiff North America, Inc. via email or call us at 888-W-STEIFF (888-978-3433) for assistance.

Damaged Returns
Damaged merchandise includes items that have been damaged in shipping. If a shipment arrives at your door with obvious shipping damage, please refuse the delivery. If you have already accepted delivery and then find shipping damage, immediately contact Steiff North America, Inc. via email or call us at 888-W-STEIFF (888-978-3433).

If you receive damaged merchandise, please save all packaging material and paperwork. If you attempt to return the merchandise yourself, you jeopardize our chances of making a claim, and you may not receive credit for the return.

Order Questions or Changes
If you have recently placed an order via the Steiff Online Store and need information about it or would like to change it, there are a number of ways to contact us. Since we begin processing your order immediately after we receive it, changes or modifications to your order may not be possible.

Limits of Responsibility
We accept no responsibility for user initiated damage and/or loss of parts incurred during operation or use of product.

Price and/or Description Changes
All prices, pictures, and descriptions on this site are subject to change. We maintain no responsibility for inadvertent errors. Please contact us within 30 days regarding price or promotion discrepancies. When you place an order with us, you agree to the price and terms indicated on our Web site at the time or purchase. Price differences related to future or past prices in our store are not refundable.

Sales Tax
Tax may be applied to your order depending on your shipping address. Sales tax may be applied to shipping and handling charges.

Preferred Shipping Method
To get your order to you as quickly as possible, we may need to split it into multiple shipments. No additional shipping fee is applied to a split package.

Shipping and Handling Charges
Shipping and handling charges will be calculated and displayed to you during the check out process.
